Gangtok – The Capital City

Gangtok, the vibrant capital of Sikkim, serves as the perfect gateway to explore the beauty of this Himalayan state. It is not only the administrative hub but also the most popular tourist base in Sikkim, attracting visitors with its blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and modern charm. The bustling MG Marg is the heart of the city, where travellers can shop, dine, and soak in the lively atmosphere. Gangtok Ropeway offers a thrilling ride with sweeping vistas of the surrounding valleys and mountains.

Darjeeling – The Queen of Hills

Darjeeling, often called the “Queen of Hills,” is one of the most beloved hill stations in the Eastern Himalayas. Nestled at an altitude of about 6,700 feet, this charming town is world-famous for its sprawling tea gardens, colonial architecture, and breathtaking views of the majestic Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world. The highlight of any Darjeeling trip is witnessing the magical sunrise at Tiger Hill, where the snow-capped peaks glow in shades of gold and pink. The town is also home to the UNESCO World Heritage Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, fondly known as the Toy Train, which offers a nostalgic journey through winding tracks and lush landscapes.

Pelling – The Scenic Gem of West Sikkim

Pelling, a serene hill town in West Sikkim, is renowned for offering some of the most spectacular views of the mighty Kanchenjunga and the surrounding Himalayan ranges. Unlike the bustling capital city of Gangtok, Pelling has a more peaceful charm, making it an ideal retreat for travellers who wish to soak in nature’s beauty at a relaxed pace. Its most famous being the Pelling Skywalk, India’s first glass-bottom skywalk, which provides thrilling views of the Chenrezig Statue

Lachen – Gateway to Gurudongmar Lake

Lachen is a quiet mountain village in North Sikkim that serves as the base for one of the most iconic attractions of the region, the sacred Gurudongmar Lake. Lachen retains its rustic charm, with wooden houses, narrow lanes, and warm-hearted locals who follow a simple lifestyle. For nature lovers, birdwatchers, and photographers, Lachen provides breathtaking landscapes that change colours with the seasons—lush green in summer, blooming with rhododendrons in spring, and blanketed in snow during winter.
