The Trip

Chitwan is located in the southwestern part of Nepal. It is the fourth largest city of Nepal covers an area of 2,238 km2, is famous for National Park. Chitwan national park is the first national park in Nepal established in 1973 which covers an area of 932 km2. Most of the visitors came to experience jungle activities such as elephant riding, jungle walking, canoeing, elephant bathing, and jeep safari. Chitwan national park is so great to visit the world’s rare species like one horn rhino, gharial, leopards, Bengal tiger, Indian rock python, and several species. The park was mainly established to save One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, and Gharial Crocodile. You can visit the whole area full of natural beauty different types of species and animals. Chitwan national park was also listed in the UNESCO world heritage site in 1984.

As we head to the western part of Nepal. Pokhara is 2nd largest city in Nepal. Pokhara is rich in the tourism sector of Nepal. As you can visit the Phewa Lake, it is the 2nd largest and freshwater lake in Nepal. You can see the reflection of mount Machhapuchhre on the surface of Phewa Lake. We can also visit many attractions such as Davis fall, Begnas lake, the international mountain museum, and some other incredible views and scenery places. Day by Day Itinerary 

 

Day 1: Pick up from Sonauli Border | Transfer to Pokhara

  • Pick up from Sonauli border and transfer to hotel in Pokhara.
  • Check into your hotel. Welcome drink. Rest & relax after check-in.

NOTE: The journey from Sonauli to Pokhara will take about 8 hours. Arrive in Pokhara.

 DAY 02 – Pokhara Day Tour

  • Pick up from hotel in Pokhara. We will bring you for the Sarangkot Sunrise tour. 
  •  Sunrise Tour at Sarangkot.
  •  After sunrise, we will bring you back to your hotel for breakfast.

Pick up from hotel for the following 

NOTE: Sarangkot (1592m) is the highest viewing point for seeing the sunrise in Pokhara. Sarangkot is easily reachable via a 45-minute drive and then a 45-minute hike up to the main viewing point.

 Day 3: Transfer from Pokhara to Chitwan National Park

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Pick up from your hotel. NOTE: You will be dropped at the Pokhara Bus Park. You will catch your bus ride to Chitwan National Park. The journey will take about 6 hours.
  • Depart to Chitwan National Park.
  • Arrive at Chitwan National Park Bus Park. Pick up and transfer to your hotel in Chitwan National Park.
  • Check-in hotel. Lunch at the hotel.
  • After lunch, you will have a briefing by your tour guide on the programs arranged.
  • Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu Village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. Visit the National Park Visitor’s Centre where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife. There will be a sunset viewing session from the banks of the Rapti River.
  • Back to the hotel for dinner, and then free & easy for the night.

Day 4: Chitwan National Park tour

  • Wake up call.
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Canoe ride along the Rapti river. An excellent opportunity for bird watching, and for seeing 2 rare species of crocodiles: the Marsh Mugger and the fish-eating Gharial. There will be a jungle walk going back, where midway you will have the opportunity to bath the elephants.
  • Back to hotel for lunch
  • Elephant Safari. An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinos, wild boars, monkeys, leopards, sloth bears, and the Royal Bengal Tiger (if you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.
  • Back to the hotel for dinner.
  • Tharu Cultural Dance Performances.
  • Back to the hotel. Rest and relax.

Day 5: Transfer from Chitwan National Park to Kathmandu to Nagarkot

  • Wake up call. Breakfast at the hotel and the checkout.
  • Visit the elephant breeding center.
  • We will transfer you to the Chitwan Bus Park to catch your bus to Kathmandu.
  • Depart to Kathmandu.
  • Arrive at the Kathmandu Bus Park. Pick up and transfer to your hotel in Nagarkot for check-in.
  • Arrive at Nagarkot in time for the sunset overlooking the longest Himalayan range of snow-peaked mountains including Mt Everest.
  • Nagarkot has the widest views of the Himalayas in the Kathmandu valley (8x Himalayan ranges out of the 13 ranges in Nepal). The ranges include Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh Himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Mahalangur range (Everest range), and Number range with views of the Kathmandu Valley and Shivapuri National Park.

Day 6: Transfer from Nagarkot to Kathmandu

  • Our next destination is the Nagarkot View Tower.

Day 7: Transfer from Kathmandu to Lumbini

  • Catch your bus to Lumbini. 
  • Arrive at Lumbini. Check-in hotel. Tour ends. 

NOTE: The journey will take approximately 10 hours.

NOTE: You can visit the Mayadevi Temple or temples in Lumbini at your own leisure. There will be no guide today.

Day 8: Transfer from Lumbini to Sonauli Border
Breakfast in the hotel. Free & easy until pick up to Sonauli.

  • Any changes on the dates, if required, must be informed by both parties at least two weeks ahead of the commencement of travel.
  • 50% of the total payment must be made before the commencement of the trip and 50% within three days of the trip completion.
  • Payments can be made either in cash or wire transfer referred to Tour Company.
