Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Guwahati – Kamakhya Temple – Shillong (100 km / 3–4 hrs) +

On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, our Musafircab representative will warmly welcome you. After a short briefing, begin your journey with a visit to the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important Shakti Peethas in India, located atop Nilachal Hill.
After darshan, drive towards Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. En route, stop at the scenic Umiam Lake (Barapani), a beautiful reservoir surrounded by rolling hills, perfect for photography and relaxation.
Arrive in Shillong by evening, check in to your hotel, and enjoy a peaceful walk around Police Bazaar, the main market area.

Day 02 Shillong Local Sightseeing – “Scotland of the East” +

After breakfast, begin a full day of sightseeing in Shillong.
Places Covered:
Shillong Peak: The highest point in Shillong offering panoramic views of the city and surrounding hills.
Elephant Falls: A three-tier waterfall, one of the most famous natural attractions in Meghalaya.
Ward’s Lake: A serene artificial lake surrounded by gardens, ideal for leisure walks.
Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures: A must-visit museum showcasing Northeast India’s tribal heritage, culture, and lifestyle.
Later, explore Police Bazaar for local shopping, cafes, and handicrafts.
Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 03 Shillong – Cherrapunji – Living Root Bridge – Nohkalikai Falls (60 km / 2–3 hrs) +

Post breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji (Sohra), one of the wettest places on Earth and a land of waterfalls and limestone caves.
Sightseeing Highlights:
Nohkalikai Falls: The tallest plunge waterfall in India, offering breathtaking views.
Seven Sisters Falls: A spectacular waterfall best viewed during monsoon and post-monsoon seasons.
Mawsmai Cave: An easy-to-explore limestone cave with stunning rock formations.
Living Root Bridge (short trek): A natural wonder created by training tree roots over generations.
Spend the evening enjoying the misty landscapes and cool mountain air.
Overnight Stay: Cherrapunji

Day 04 Cherrapunji – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong (120 km / 5–6 hrs) +

After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong, famously known as Asia’s Cleanest Village. Walk through the spotless village lanes and visit the Sky View Point for stunning views of Bangladesh plains.
Continue towards Dawki, located near the India–Bangladesh border. Enjoy a magical boat ride on the Umngot River, known for its crystal-clear water where boats appear to float in mid-air.
After sightseeing, return to Shillong by evening.

Day 05 Shillong – Kaziranga National Park (300 km / 7–8 hrs) +

Early breakfast followed by a scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park in Assam, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for the One-Horned Rhinoceros.
Check in to your wildlife resort near Kaziranga. The rest of the day is free to relax amidst nature.
Optional cultural programs may be available in the evening.

Day 06 Kaziranga Safari – Tezpur (100 km / 2–3 hrs) +

Wake up early for an exciting Jeep Safari inside Kaziranga National Park. Spot rhinos, elephants, swamp deer, wild buffaloes, and various bird species.
After breakfast, drive to Tezpur, a beautiful town on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, known for its mythological and historical significance.
Visit local temples and riverfront areas if time permits.

Day 07 Tezpur – Sela Pass – Tawang (320 km / 9–10 hrs) +

This is one of the most scenic and adventurous days of the tour. After early breakfast, start your journey towards Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.
En route highlights:
Sela Pass (13,700 ft): Snow-covered mountain pass offering stunning Himalayan views.
Sela Lake: A sacred alpine lake surrounded by snow-clad peaks.
Jaswant Garh War Memorial: Dedicated to Indian Army bravery.
Arrive in Tawang by evening and check in to the hotel.

Day 08 Tawang Local Sightseeing +

After breakfast, explore the spiritual and cultural heart of Arunachal Pradesh.

Day 09 Tawang – Bomdila (180 km / 6–7 hrs) +

Post breakfast, drive back towards Bomdila, a charming hill town known for monasteries and apple orchards.

Enjoy the peaceful mountain environment.

Day 10 Bomdila – Guwahati Drop (340 km / 8–9 hrs) +

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Guwahati. On arrival, you will be dropped at the airport or railway station with unforgettable memories of Northeast India.
