1. Cellular Jail
Cellular Jail is a place that will remind you of the trails and ordeals of the colonical era that India witnessed. This is the place where political prisioners were captured and nearby abandoned to live inhuman conditions for on end. Central jail is popularly known as Kalapani which means Black water. The architecture of the building stands in contrast to the solitary cells that were once used to exile and execute political prisoners. The Central attraction in the Cellular Jail is light and sound show, narrated by the Peepal tree which stood tall and witnessed the atrocities committed by the colonisers. The voice behind the Peepal tree is that of actor Om Puri. There are two shows every day at 18:00 and 19:15 in Hindi except for on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday when the second show is in English. Timing when you can visit in Cellular Jail is from 9.00AM-12.00Noon and 1.00PM-4.15PM. It is closed on Monday.
 
2. Ross Island
Ross Island, officially known as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island, is an island of the Andaman Islands. The island is situated 3 km (2 mi) east from central Port Blair. Ross Island, located about 2 km from Port Blair, is a popular tourist spot with remnants of the Victorian British era. Ross island was named after marine surveyor, Daniel Ross. In December 2018, it was renamed as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island as a tribute to Subhas Chandra Bose. Ross Island include old buildings like the chief commissioners house, Presbyterian Church, state ball room, an old Andamanese home bakery, swimming pool and a hospital. A museum in Ross Island, maintained by Indian Navy, has a collection of pictures depicting the island in its full glory. A documentary about Ross Island is shown at the bakery from 9.30 am to 9.45 am and from 11.30 am to 11.45 am. The Island is open for visitors from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on all days except Wednesday. An entry fee of INR 20 is collected. Ross Island is an ideal place for those who want to learn about the history of British occupied India and their activities in this region.
 
3. Jolly Buoy Island
Jolly Buoy Island is situated in South Andaman Island. It is located very close to Wandoor, Jolly Buoy Island is part of the famous Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park along with a few other islands. It is one of the most popular  tourist  destinations in Andaman and Nicobar. It includes various landscape mangrove swamps, tropical rainforests, pristine white sandy beaches, and coral reefs. The activities what you can do in Jolly Buoy Island snorkelling and scuba diving. Boat trips can also be organized into the sea for dolphin spotting and fishing. Anthropological Museum is located on MG Road in the western part of Port Blair. It is one of the most visited places in town. It is maintained by the Anthropological Survey of India. The museum illustrates the tribal life and culture. It has an exhibition of the tools and weapons that are used by the tribes as well as photographs showing the different tribes, existing and extinct. There are also items and collections showing the history of the island archipelago, a library with books of different types and by various authors who have written widely on the Union Territory. Sometimes, the museum also organises documentaries and short films showing the life of the tribes and the different social customs and cultures of the Union Territory. Timing when you can visit Anthropological Museum is from 9:00AM– 13:00PM and 13:30PM – 16:30PM from Tuesday – Sunday. The permit fee for visitor is INR 20.
 
5. Chidiya Tapu
Chidiya Tapu is located 25 km from Port Blair and is a tiny village in the southernmost tip of South Andaman. It is also known as the bird island. The region has a number of green mangroves and a lush forest cover. Birds are the major attraction here. The place is famous for picnic, where you can sit and enjoy the gentak sea breeze as you witness and unforgettable sunset, coloring the water in all hues of red and orange. Beware of crocodiles in Chidiya Tapu.
