Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla, Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

  • Morning: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860m), a small airport perched in the mountains.

  • Afternoon: Trek from Lukla to Phakding (2,610m). The trek is relatively easy and downhill, offering scenic views of the valley.

  • Overnight stay at a lodge in Phakding.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

  • Morning: Trek to Namche Bazaar. You cross several suspension bridges and ascend through forests of pine and rhododendron.

  • Afternoon: Reach Namche Bazaar, a bustling Sherpa town known as the gateway to the Khumbu region.

  • The climb can be steep, but the vibrant town will offer all the comfort you need.

  • Overnight stay at a lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

  • Morning: Short trek to the Everest View Hotel or hike to the nearby ridge for amazing views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.

  • Afternoon: Explore Namche Bazaar, visit the local market, and enjoy the views of the surrounding peaks.

  • Evening: Rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

  • Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m)

  • Morning: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche. The path takes you through alpine forests, with occasional views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks.

  • Afternoon: Reach Tengboche and visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region.

  • Evening: Rest and enjoy the surrounding views.

  • Overnight stay in Tengboche.

Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m)

  • Morning: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche, passing through beautiful forests, along the Imja Khola River.

  • Afternoon: After a steady climb, reach Dingboche, a small Sherpa village. It’s another excellent place to acclimatize to the high altitude.

  • Overnight stay in Dingboche.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

  • Morning: Short trek to Nagarjun Hill for panoramic views of Mount Makalu, Lhotse, and the stunning Ama Dablam.

  • Afternoon: Rest in Dingboche or explore the village.

  • Evening: Relax and hydrate to prepare for the higher altitudes.

  • Overnight stay in Dingboche.

Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m)

  • Morning: Start the trek from Dingboche to Lobuche, which is a fairly steep and strenuous climb.

  • Afternoon: Arrive in Lobuche, a small settlement with amazing views of the surrounding snow-covered peaks.

  • Overnight stay in Lobuche.

Day 9: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m) and Everest Base Camp (5,364m)

  • Morning: Trek to Gorak Shep, which will take a few hours. Once there, have lunch and rest.

  • Afternoon: After lunch, continue your trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m). It can be challenging, but once you arrive, the views of the Khumbu Icefall and surrounding peaks are breathtaking.

  • Evening: Return to Gorak Shep for the night.

  • Overnight stay in Gorak Shep.

Day 10: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,550m) and Descend to Pheriche (4,243m)

  • Early Morning: Wake up early for a sunrise hike to Kala Patthar, a famous viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks.

  • Morning: Return to Gorak Shep, have breakfast, and then begin descending.

  • Afternoon: Descend to Pheriche, a beautiful valley where you can rest and enjoy the views.

  • Overnight stay in Pheriche.

Day 11: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

  • Morning: Trek back from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar.

  • Afternoon: Cross the same path through forests and valleys, with an easier descent to Namche Bazaar.

Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla

  • Morning: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla, passing through Phakding.

  • Afternoon: Arrive in Lukla and relax after the journey.

  • Evening: Celebrate your achievement with your guide and team.

  • Overnight stay in Lukla.

Day 13: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

  • Morning: Catch a morning flight back to Kathmandu.

  • Afternoon: Arrive in Kathmandu, check into your hotel, and relax.

  • Evening: Explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu, shop for souvenirs, or visit some historical sites.

  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu

  • Morning: Depending on your flight schedule, you can take a last-minute stroll around Kathmandu.

  • Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.


Things to Remember:

  • Acclimatization is key! The itinerary includes rest days to help your body adjust to the altitude.
